Outline
CCSDTI offers a Six-Months Live-in
Caregiver Program, which is composed of the following modules:
Each module is the result of
careful deliberation in order to give our clients a wide
range of knowledge and skills-development, which will prepare
them for a variety of work ventures.
WHAT IS A LIVE-IN CAREGIVER?
A live-in caregiver is a person who
will be hired to provide child care, senior home support
or care for the elderly, as well as care for the disabled
with minimal or with out supervision in a private household,
especially in a foreign environment.
HOW CAN I BECOME A
LIVE-IN CAREGIVER?
There are three requirements to become
a live-in caregiver:
1. successful completion of at least
two (2) years of college education in which the candidate
must have earned at least seventy-two (72)
units;
2. ability to speak, read and understand the English language.
Applicants must be physically
and mentally fit as they will be functioning independently
in a different home setting.
3. six months of full time training in our training center
accredited by the Philippine government
(TESDA) and recognized by the Canadian Embassy.
Objectives
After the course, the trainees are expected
to:
1. Manage and run homes with less supervision.
2. Appropriately care for the different-abled members of
society.
3. Stimulate holistic growth and development for children
of different age levels.
4. Provide holistic and appropriate care for the aged.
5. Respond to emergencies with skill competence (needs rephrasing;
vague).
